With this year coming to a close, I think now is a good time to stop and reflect.  This year saw many changes to the tech industry, and signaled many exciting things to come in 2017.

For us, one of our most exciting features was the development of our Drag and Drop editor, a new product we will be officially rolling out next year.  It is the first integrated drag and drop editor specifically made for the Drupal platform, which means you will have the smooth user experience of WordPress or Wix, with the full-scale customization of Drupal.  We really feel like this could be a game-changer!

There has also been a change in the way Google is chosing to index and promote its video content on Youtube — moving focus away from simple clicks and likes — to an algorithm that pays attention to total minutes watched.  This was done in an effort to stop the use of misleading clickbate.  It looks like Facebook may be leaning in a similar direction with the way it promotes items on its Newsfeed, too.  Are you prepared for the upcoming change?

We are.  On one of our partner sites, we set up a new system called Badges that provides members the opportunity to earn badges for actively interacting with their website.  Now, members will be rewarded with a badge for completing certain activities, such as replying to a post, or starting their own discussion thread.

What is your association looking forward to in the upcoming year?  Let us know in the comments below!
